Mrs. Hema Joshi is associated with teaching field for the past 22 years. She has good academic background and is the recipient of many prestigious awards which includes best teachers award, best scientifically aware teacher, best environmentally aware teacher and award for performance incentive for crossing the bench mark in class XII board exam. As an academic coordinator, HOD Biology, Member of SMC and NABET accreditation coordinator she has contributed a lot in school development process. Being School NABET Accreditation coordinator, she was able to successfully get the school accredited by Quality Council of India, Delhi. She has also contributed and helped in establishment of school in the vicinity as a best scientific aptitude promoting school by bringing laurels in the field of science. In her leadership the school could establish Atal tinkering Laboratory, an initiative by NITI Aayog, by winning the competition at National level in year 2016.The school was selected amongst top 250 school out of 16000 in India and amongst top 4 in Rajasthan. As a leader and guide teacher of CBSE science exhibition the school could attain the USP of qualifying at CBSE regional level science exhibition for continuously many years. She had been leading various science related competitions like Amarjeet Singh science trophy test, BET science quiz, model exhibitions at national level, state level and local level, science Olympiads, online science competitions conducted by VSSF, preparing students for NTSE, STSE, inspire manak award e.t.c and has brought laurels in many of them. She has also contributed in community welfare by helping the children with special needs by providing them with free education and vocational training. She is the team leader as well as participant of tree plantation drive, community cleanliness drive, blood donation camp, organizing visits to museum, Eco park, Science park, CEERI Labs, BITS lab e.t.c and also by creating life skill awareness in the children by conducting workshops. She has developed two major teaching learning resources for children i.e, MINI FOREST in local area for environment protection and GREEN HOUSE –A collection of herbal and medicinal plant for exploring the wonders provided of nature. She has also integrated and prepared snake and ladder and Ludo game as a teaching AID to learn biology in an interesting manner. She has been appointed as Head examiner, external examiner, evaluator for CBSE board based evaluation. Recently she has also been appointed as an observer by CBSE to conduct National Achievement Survey for classes 8 and 10 in Lohiya Public school, chirawa. She has acted as a subject expert in selection committee for selection of teacher’s in schools (CEERI Vidya Mandir and Birla Education trust). She has participated in many workshops as a Resource Person to mentor fellow teachers in various faculty development programmes. She is an innovative teacher with good communication skills and teaching style. She keeps herself updated with latest educational practices. In the classroom she has been using various innovative teaching learning process, which includes preparation and use of AV aids, integration of ICT, games and life skills in biology, use of multimedia and preparation of digital content. She uses Art integrated, project based, inquiry based and experiential teaching learning pedagogy in her teaching. In her class of diverse learners, she takes care of both gifted as well as the weak students by catering to their needs. She uses multiple modalities of assessment of learning followed by analysis, feedback and provides remedial measures to ensure learning outcomes. As a teacher she is able to create positive environment in the student’s life.
